What is Rise & Grind?

Rise & Grind is a blog aimed at encouraging all you runners out there to keep up the good fight. I’ve been a runner since I was 8 years old. Since then, I was only away from the sport for three years in college when I became a smoker, ballooned to 40 more pounds than I am now, and no surprise, struggled mightily through life.

But I credit those early years for engraining in me a love of running. It has since become an integral part of me somehow and it’s really the only thing in my life that has stuck.

Running is a grind. It takes grit and a real sense of purpose to become any good at it. I believe in this sport/lifestyle and hope that comes across in a real and authentic way in these writings.
